Guests ask lots of questions before they arrive, but they tend to ask the same ones. When do we check in? Is there WiFi? What kind of coffee maker does the house have?

Having a storehouse of pre-arrival FAQs and answers is an easy way to field guest queries quickly and to save time for you and your team. Our Pre-Arrival FAQs Checklist provides general examples of what to include. Use it as you please to create a customized set of FAQs, tailored to meet the needs of your guests and your business.

What time is check-in — and check-out?

Check-in time is at 3 p.m. and check-out time is at 11 a.m.

Is early check-in available, and is there a cost?

Yes, early check-in is possible subject to availability. There is a $50 fee. If you would like to arrive one day early, you can extend your stay for one day subject to availability at a 30 percent discount for the extra night.

Is late check-out available, and is there a cost?

Yes, late check-out can be arranged subject to availability. There is a $50 fee. If you would like to add one or two nights to your stay, you can extend your stay subject to availability at a 30 percent discount for each extra night.

How do I check in to my vacation rental home?

When you arrive, you will find a lockbox at the home. The code to access it will be texted to you the day before your arrival. Detailed check-in instructions will be emailed to you a week before your check-in date.

Is parking available on the property?

Yes, parking is provided. Each property has its own designated parking area or a nearby parking lot. Specific parking instructions will be included with your check-in instructions.

How many parking spaces are available for my rental?

Your rental property has three parking spaces. The nearest additional parking is at the municipal lot on the corner of Acord and Spruce streets, a five-minute drive away.

What should I pack to enjoy my trip and feel at home in town?

We’re a beach town with a laid-back, West Coast vibe. Bring jeans, shorts, a light-weight, pullover sweater, wool or cotton scarf, T-shirts with short and long sleeves, puffer jacket, flannel shirt, swimsuit, everyday shoes, hiking boots or walking shoes, flip-flops, a sun hat or baseball cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, toiletries, a Kindle or book, chargers, phone and laptop (if you plan to work).

What amenities are provided at the vacation rental?

Yes, the cleaning fee is included in the total cost of your rental fee. The property will be thoroughly cleaned before your arrival and after you depart. If you are staying for an extended period, we can arrange for additional cleaning at your request.

Is the kitchen fully equipped?

Yes, the kitchen is fully equipped with a French Door refrigerator with ice maker, 6-burner gas stove, microwave, dishwasher and basic utensils like pots, pans, dishes and flatware.

What kind of coffee maker is provided?

The house has a Smeg drip coffee maker and a KitchenAid coffee grinder so you can bring either whole beans or ground beans.

Is WiFi available at the home?

Yes, complimentary WiFi is provided. The network name and password will be included with your check-in instructions which you’ll receive two days before arrival.

I need to work while we’re on vacation. How good is the WiFi?

The vacation rental home has an excellent WiFi connection.

Can I bring my pet?

We have a pet friendly policy at some of our homes. Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring a pet — and what kind — and we’ll inform you about any specific rules or additional fees associated with it.

How many pets am I allowed to bring?

We have a one-pet policy. If you are thinking about bringing more than one pet, please contact us before you arrive and we will evaluate the situation.

We’re bringing our 6-month-old baby. Will the house have a crib and high chair?

We will have a crib with bed linens and a bumper and a high chair waiting for you in the home when you arrive.

Are there any grocery stores or restaurants nearby?

Yes, there are. Our area guide will acquaint you with the nearest grocery stores and restaurants as well as attractions, experiences and essential services like the nearest pharmacy and urgent care facility. We’ll send the guide to you two weeks before you arrive to help you with trip planning.

We want to tour wineries in your area while we’re there. Can you tell us some good ones to visit?

Our area guide includes a special section on touring wineries in our area. Details about each winery are included with information about varietals, the winery’s backstory and tasting hours.

Is there a nearby place to rent bicycles during our stay?

The Beach Bike Shop is a short drive from your vacation rental. You can pick up rental bikes at the shop. Or we can arrange for them to deliver rental bikes to your property and pick them up at the end of your stay at no additional charge.

How do I report any issues or problems during my stay?

Our guest support line is open 24/7. You can text or call us with any problems, issues or questions you may have during your stay, and we will answer you promptly and work on any issues of concern, whether’s a maintenance problem or general assistance. We’re here to make sure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Can I have additional guests stay in the vacation rental home?

Our vacation rental homes have a maximum occupancy limit to ensure comfort and safety for all guests. The maximum occupancy for your home is [number of guests].
